General Upholstery Services Limerick

Established in 1988. General upholstery services offer a value for money service to make your furniture look beautiful again, at very affordable prices. We will help you pick your fabrics and also measure your furniture to see how much fabric is needed. If you prefer you can also supply your own fabric and we can fit it for you.

Here at General upholstery services, we have many years experience and can give you our expert advice for your furniture fabrics to suit your needs. We offer a collection and delivery service within 50km of Limerick. We also supply a collection and delivery service for where we can pick up your furniture, do the work by adding your chosen fabrics to your furniture and return it to you again looking brand new.

Services we supply are as follows

We recover 3 piece suites - fireside chairs - caravan cushions - bar seating - foam cushions are supplied and filled to your needs on original covers - dining room chairs recovered - recliner chairs recovered - restaurant seating recovered to your chosen colour - antique chairs done to their original way - All suite structure repaired. Eg. Seats With New rails fitted and springs replaced and supplied.

We have very extensive experience and skill when it comes to the upholstering of various styles of furniture, and our main focus is always on quality and comfort. By upholstering your existing piece of furniture like a sofa, chair, stool, headboard etc. is a cost effective way to give new life to your furniture and we will cater to all tastes and budgets.

Business hours - Monday to Friday - 9.15 am to 5pm. Saturday - 9.15 am to 1pm. Bank holiday's - 9.30am to 4pm.

Information on our Upholstery Services

What is upholstery - This is the work we provide of attaching a furniture frame with padding, cushioning, and fabric or leather textile covers. The material makes a significant difference to the visual identity of the chair, while it may not be visible to the interior elements of the furniture, they make a big difference to the comfort and ergonomics of the piece.

General Upholstery Services will leave a first and lasting impression on people, we will make sure each and every piece we work on looks perfect. We have a high selection of materials to chose from to complement all types of furniture, including fabrics for 3 piece suites, fireside chairs, bar seating, dining room seats, recliner seats, restaurant seating, basically anything that can be covered with fabric, we can do it.

People often tend to focus on the aesthetic, but ergonomics are just as crucial alot of the time when it comes to adding fabric to your piece of furniture, especially In a modern workplace, furniture needs to be functional for the user, and upholstery is a vital part of that. Looking lovely is and eye catching makes it so beautiful to look at, but if it's not comfortable then it's no use to sit and relax on. What ever type of area in your home are workplace you need the fabric on your furniture done, we will be able to advertise you on what works best, so not will it just be a piece of beauty but also very comfortable also.

These two chairs were given to me and my sister by our Granda Flanagan nearly 50 years ago. After my own children used them when they were little, I put them in the attic in the shed for many years. During a clear out I found them and sent them into General upholstery service limerick.
